Community views on possible online IETF meetings

The initial results of the survey on planning for possible online IETF meetings are now available.

This survey ran from 30th April 2020 until 11 May 2020 and asked a series of questions on the following pages/topics:

    1. Welcome
    2. Online IETF 107 and the subsequent virtual interims
    3. Replacing a cancelled in-person meeting
    4. Online meeting format and timezone
    5. Replicating humming
    6. Replicating the hallway environment
    7. Fees
    8. Thanks and anything else

In total 576 responses were recorded and the initial results are now available. These are in the default PDF export format from the survey system and no analysis is provided.

We aim to analyse the raw data in depth and to that end volunteers are sought to help with tidying up the raw data and enabling it to be shared while maintaining the anonymity of respondents.

If you have any observations to make from these results then please send those to ietf108planning@ietf.org.

Finally, we are also publishing the questions separately as we know that other organisations are grappling with the same issues.
